Haridwar Heritage Weekend was conceived to highlight the city’s layered cultural identity which lies at the intersection of history, religion, community, architecture and everyday life.
The river Ganga physically and symbolically shapes Haridwar as it moves through the city, navigating the space between nature and the built environment, the historic and the contemporary, the sacred and the domestic.
The identity system I developed evokes the course the river charts, creating a visual language which was adaptable across the festival’s varied applications and programming.
